Orlando Freight Broker: Shipping From Central Florida

Aug 26
4 min read

Xavier Logistics LLC is an Orlando freight broker. Headquarters is in Orlando, Florida. Connor Maciag, owner and CEO, lives in Orlando. We are not a local-only cartage company running city routes with our own trucks. We are a freight brokerage that books licensed carriers across the United States and Canada.

Founded in 2022 and powered by Freight-Tec, Xavier operates as an agent of Freight Tec Management Group Inc, MC-147619, USDOT 179548. We do not own trucks. If you are searching for a freight broker Orlando FL shippers can actually reach, this is who we are and how we cover freight from Central Florida and everywhere else we run.

An Orlando HQ, nationwide coverage

Orlando is where the company is based. It is not the edge of our map. We serve the U.S. and Canada, with strongest coverage in the Midwest and West Coast. A load that picks up in Ohio and delivers in California is as much our work as a Florida origin.

That is the difference between a 3PL Orlando search that turns up a local cartage outfit and a freight brokerage. Cartage is last-mile or local tractor work with a fleet parked in town. Xavier books dry van, reefer, partials, and expedited with carriers. If you need a truck, we find one. If you need a company that only runs Orange County docks with its own power, that is not us.

The 513-259-3505 number is the right number to call. Email is cmaciag@freight-tec.com. Use either. You do not need a street address to tender freight to a broker.

What we cover from Central Florida

Florida freight is not one product. Produce and other temperature-controlled shipments need reefer. Finished goods, packaging, and general freight often move dry van. Some shipments are too big for LTL and too small to pay for a whole trailer, which is where partials come in. Some cannot wait, which is expedited.

Nick Cox, Director of Ops, handles reefer. If you are shipping Florida produce or other temperature-controlled freight, that is his lane. Connor handles dry van, partials, and expedited. Sibel Demiralp coordinates so the file does not stall between pickup and delivery.

We will not pretend every Florida lane is our strongest lane. Midwest and West Coast coverage is where we are deepest. We still book Florida origins and destinations because the brokerage is built to cover the country, not a single metro.

Florida produce and reefer

Reefer is not a dry van with the air conditioner on. Temperature, continuous run versus start-stop, and product type all matter. Produce out of Florida can be unforgiving on time and on temp. Give us the setpoint, the commodity, and the windows. Nick will work the truck as a reefer load, not as a dry van that happens to have a reefer unit.

If the freight is not temperature-controlled, say so. Putting produce-sensitive freight on the wrong equipment is how you get a claim. Putting dry freight in a reefer you did not need is how you overpay.

Dry van, partials, and expedited

Dry van is the workhorse for freight that does not need temp control. Partials are the in-between: more than LTL, less than paying for the whole trailer. If you are not sure which side of that line you are on, read our PTL shipping guide. For true LTL, see our LTL freight guide and our notes on affordable LTL shipping.

Expedited from Central Florida looks like the rest of the country: sprinter, box truck, team drivers, or air charter when the calendar is the constraint. Connor books those. Do not label a routine Jacksonville-to-Atlanta dry van as expedited unless the receiver truly cannot wait.

What a freight broker Orlando search should tell you

A useful freight broker Orlando result should answer three questions: are they a broker or a carrier, where do they actually cover, and who do you talk to?

Xavier Logistics LLC is a broker, not a motor carrier. Coverage is national and into Canada, with an Orlando headquarters. You talk to Connor, Nick, or Sibel. That is the whole team. You will not get a call center reading a script from a different time zone than the person who priced the load.

3PL Orlando is a phrase shippers type when they want someone to handle the truck, not necessarily a warehouse. We are not a 3PL campus with racking and a yard in Orlando. We are the brokerage that covers the highway move. If you need storage, say so and we will tell you that is outside what we do. If you need a truck from Central Florida to the Midwest, the West Coast, or Canada, that is the work.

How to tender a load

Send origin, destination, pickup date, weight, commodity, temperature if any, and the mode you think you need. If you do not know the mode, send dimensions and the must-arrive date and we will say whether it should be dry van, reefer, a partial, LTL, or expedited.
